Job Description: Deck Foreman Location: Global Reports to: 1st Assistant About Ogenus Offshore Ogenus Offshore is a manpower company based in the UK and Greece, providing skilled personnel to the energy sector. We support our clients with workforce solutions for offshore and onshore projects worldwide. This position is being offered on behalf of one of our trusted clients. The Role Safely coordinate and direct lifting operations. Manage the deck space to ensure optimal use for project execution and maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and direct the rigging crew and crane operators, establishing their roles and positions, to safely execute lifting operations according to procedures. Supervise rigging and derigging operations. Manage deck space to optimize movements of cranes, forklifts, personnel, and access to materials and equipment. Control the work activity of riggers and helpers. Ensure all rigging and lifting appliances are certified, in suitable condition, and properly stored. Ensure rigging operations are carried out safely and according to instructions. Use only certified gear during lifting operations. Manage handling of materials and consumables assigned to each work site. Monitor the condition of lifting gear before, during, and after use; report damages. Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near-misses. Assist during marine operations if required. Conduct Toolbox talks at the start of each shift and prepare JSA when necessary. Perform additional duties within own capabilities as required by the 1st Assistant. Stop activities on safety grounds if continuing could cause damage or injuries.
