Overview
Social Care Regulatory Inspector — Regulation and inspection of children’s social care within one of Ofsted’s eight regions.
Location: East Midlands (England), East of England, London (region), North East England, North West England, South East England, South West England, West Midlands (England), Yorkshire and the Humber
Salary: £52,497 per annum, rising to £57,497 per annum on successful completion of probation (typically six months). We are happy to explore a labour market supplement up to £5,000 per annum, for candidates whose current salary, skills and experience support the post probation salary. Performance-related pay awards are also available for outstanding achievement.
We are currently recruiting for Social Care Regulatory Inspectors across England.
Role purpose — Inspect and regulate children’s social care within the assigned region in accordance with The Care Standards Act 2000 and associated legislation.
Responsibilities
- Report to a Regulatory Inspection Manager and be responsible for the regulation and inspection of children’s social care within one Ofsted region.
- Inspect and regulate services such as children’s homes, boarding schools, residential family centres, fostering and adoption services, residential special schools, and welfare in further education colleges, under The Care Standards Act 2000 and related legislation.
