The Secretary of State for Education is seeking a new member of the Ofqual Board.
This is for a Vocational and Technical Qualifications Expert.
As the independent, expert regulator of qualifications and assessment for England, Ofqual plays a vital role in ensuring that qualifications and assessments are valid, valued and delivered safely and efficiently, with outcomes that are accurate, fair and command public confidence.
The Board provides leadership and direction to Ofqual, setting strategic aims, values and standards.
You will need:
The ability to think strategically and independently, bringing pragmatism and insight to a complex policy environment; A commitment to Ofqual as a regulator and its role; and Experience and knowledge which will contribute to the Ofqual Board. This could include, but is not restricted to, experience and understanding of the school sector, FE and/or vocational sectors, regulation, finance and use of new technologies.
