In addition, this includes oversight of the market formed of these organisations and the associated financial risks.
What the postholder will be doing?
We’re looking for an experienced technical expert with a strong financial or accounting background who can identify the strengths and weaknesses in company business plans and finances and who ideally has experience of designing and working with financial models. As our Manager Financial Insights, you’ll have an interest in both individual organisations and market level changes. This is important because your responsibilities will range from assessing company finances through to supporting our work to promote efficiency in the regulated sector.
It’s rare for us to approach different projects in the same way, so you’ll develop methodologies and assessments with your team and other colleagues to ensure that a meaningful and robust financial understanding informs our decision making. You will be encouraged and expected to contribute your expertise and insights into an eclectic range of operational and strategic work. This means you’ll be in a high-profile role and involved in work linked to each of Ofqual’s directorates.
