Successful candidates may be based in any of our office locations – Cardiff, Glasgow, or London. We especially welcome applicants from Cardiff and Glasgow. We operate a hybrid working model, with colleagues expected to spend a minimum of one day per week (20% of working time) in the office.

We’re offering a permanent opportunity within our Communications Directorate, where you’ll join a team of communications specialists dedicated to making a positive difference for energy consumers. This role provides the chance to shape the way we communicate complex policy and regulatory information through clear, accessible digital content. Working at the heart of our digital channels, you’ll help ensure our website and e-newsletter content is user-focused, engaging and delivered to the highest standards.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to support the development and delivery of digital communications that help audiences understand our work. Applying content design principles and user-focused thinking, you’ll contribute to improving the quality, clarity and accessibility of content across our digital platforms. This role offers a varied and collaborative environment, where you’ll work closely with communications professionals and subject matter experts to ensure content meets both user needs and organisational objectives.
We’re looking for someone with experience co-ordinating complex digital content for a range of internal stakeholders and writing and editing content for online audiences using a content management system. You’ll bring strong attention to detail, the ability to work calmly in a fast‑paced environment and excellent stakeholder collaboration skills, alongside knowledge of accessibility standards and user-centred content design.

Person specification
- Content delivery and coordination: Experience managing and coordinating varied, complex content requirements for a wide range of internal clients.
- Digital content creation: Experience writing and editing online content using a CMS, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work calmly in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
- Stakeholder and analytical skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and convert data into insight, reporting in clear and appropriate formats.
- Digital standards and user‑led design: Knowledge of accessibility standards, HTML, and the principles of user‑centred design. Experience of using web CMS and bulk email systems. Experience of working in government communications, or on GOV.UK, adhering to Government Digital Service (GDS) design principles.
