Hybrid working – on average, currently one day per week in the office, or approximately 20% of the month.

Delivery and Schemes is the delivery arm of Ofgem, and within that sits Strategy & Business Operations which is a multi-disciplinary portfolio providing specialised business governance and expertise to ensure the safe and effective operation of Delivery & Schemes. In this role you will work across our environmental schemes when responding to information requests from a variety of sources. You will liaise with colleagues across the organisation to support you in formulating thorough, accurate and timely responses. This could include presenting information to senior colleagues or lawyers so that they can advise and contribute on complex or sensitive matters. Interpreting and applying relevant legislation and regulations such as Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), Subject Access Requests (SAR), Freedom of Information Act (FOI), Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, Privacy Policies and legal advice will be an important part of your role.

It’s important that you already have excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, ideally supported by knowledge of EIR, SAR and FOI legislation. You should be well-organised so that you can adapt to a shifting workload within a team environment while taking personal initiative for moving things forward to meet regular statutory deadlines. Good communication skills will help to ensure that the responses you prepare are easy to interpret, accessible and use clear language.
