  • Help students develop greater confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
  • Provide calm and consistent support around behaviour and emotional regulation, encouraging greater self-management.
  • Contribute to individual support plans, including IEPs, BSPs, risk assessments and communication profiles.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching, care and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide consistent, joined-up support.
  • Support students with daily routines and personal care where required, always promoting dignity and independence.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of safeguarding, Health & Safety and student wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience or a strong interest in supporting young people with autism and additional needs.
  • Is confident supporting students who may display behaviours that challenge.
  • Is patient, calm and resilient, with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships.
  • Has experience working collaboratively with teachers and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Is adaptable and able to tailor their approach to individual student needs.
  • Is comfortable providing personal care where required.
