Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) is seeking an Energy Policy Manager to help shape and deliver policies that support a secure, competitive and sustainable UK offshore energy sector. Reporting to the Energy Policy Director, you will develop evidence-based policy positions, engage with industry, government and regulators, and help influence the policy, regulatory and fiscal environment that supports investment, energy security and long-term value creation across the UK offshore energy industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop policy positions, consultation responses, briefings and industry submissions.
  • Monitor and assess policy, regulatory and fiscal developments affecting the offshore energy sector.
  • Engage with government, regulators and industry stakeholders to influence policy outcomes and address barriers to investment.
  • Represent OEUK in external meetings, consultations, forums and stakeholder discussions.
  • Build strong relationships with member companies and ensure member priorities are reflected in OEUK's policy positions and advocacy activities.
  • Collaborate across OEUK teams to deliver coordinated and consistent policy positions and external engagement.
  • Support the delivery of the Energy Policy team's objectives and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing culture.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for a proactive and commercially aware policy professional who can analyse complex issues, build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making. You will be:

  • Confident developing evidence-based policy positions and translating complex issues into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Comfortable engaging with government, regulators, industry representatives and senior stakeholders.
  • A strong communicator who can build consensus and represent OEUK with credibility and professionalism.
  • Curious and strategic in your thinking, with the ability to identify emerging opportunities and challenges affecting the sector.
  • Collaborative in your approach, working effectively across teams to deliver shared objectives and positive outcomes for members.
  • Motivated by the opportunity to shape policies that support investment, energy security and the long-term success of the UK offshore energy industry.

This role would suit someone with experience in policy, regulation, public affairs, government relations or a similar field, ideally within the energy sector.

About You

You are a confident and commercially aware policy professional with experience developing evidence-based positions and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders. You can analyse complex policy, regulatory and fiscal issues, translate them into clear and practical recommendations, and build consensus across different interests. You are an effective communicator who enjoys working collaboratively, influencing decision-makers and representing your organisation with credibility and professionalism. Most importantly, you are motivated by the opportunity to help shape policies that support investment, energy security and the long-term success of the UK's offshore energy sector.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time role working 9am –5pm, Monday to Friday in a hybrid office environment with additional hours worked as required for energy policy activities.
