We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer to join a growing and forward-thinking engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working across a diverse portfolio of high-profile commercial clients.
You'll be working across a wide range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, education, IT, retail, telecoms, local authorities, and specialist commercial environments, delivering both planned maintenance and reactive service work.
This is a field-based role offering genuine long-term stability, technical variety, and clear opportunities for progression within a supportive engineering business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Diagnosing faults and delivering effective repair solutions across a range of equipment
- Working on systems including VRV/VRF, split systems, close control, cold rooms, chilled water systems, and chillers
- Supporting site surveys, producing reports, and assisting with quotations where required
- Ensuring all work is completed to high standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship
- Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota
- Providing excellent customer service and representing the business professionally on site
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- F-Gas qualified and compliant with current regulations
- Strong technical understanding of refrigeration and electrical principles
- Proven experience working on VRV/VRF systems, chillers, cold rooms, and HVAC plant
- Confident fault-finding and diagnostic ability across a range of systems
- Good understanding of industry standards, legislation, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
