My client is a well-established and growing specialist within the Injection Moulding and Precision Tooling sector, supplying high-quality solutions across the medical, automotive, switchgear, and packaging industries. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Injection Mould Designer to join their in-house tooling team based in Stevenage. This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically advanced environment, working on a diverse range of high-precision mould tooling projects from concept through to manufacture.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the design of injection mould tools ranging from single impression tools through to complex multi-cavity hot runner systems for the company’s in-house toolroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of injection mould tools for high-precision applications
- Component design and development
- Conducting design reviews and supporting continuous improvement
- Design for Manufacture (DFM)
- Creation of 3D and 2D designs using Creo (Pro Engineer) and ideally SolidWorks
- Project management support across tooling projects
- Customer interaction and technical discussions
- Liaising closely with internal manufacturing and tooling teams
