STATIC MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
JOB OVERVIEW
Our client are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to carry out maintenance works at a static site in Edinburgh City Centre.
Maintenance / repairs / replacements of lighting / rewires /electrical testing and all general electrical duties and including all other duties including mechanical & plumbing on site.
We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of electrical systems and over 5 years\’ experience in similar Electrical/ HVAC/ Maintenance Engineer type role.
This post will be based on a static role, covering our clients site in Edinburgh City Centre.
There is no vehicle with this role and candidate will be required to make their own way to site.
JOB RESPONSBILITIES
General Electrical and HVAC plant maintenance.
Maintenance / repairs / replacements of lighting / rewires /electrical testing and all general electrical duties and including all other duties including mechanical & plumbing on site.
Health and safety awareness.
General DIY abilities
Knowledge and experience of all electrical plant including, but not limited to Air Handling Units and their associated controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipe work and accessories)
Knowledge and experience of BMS & lighting control systems.
Knowledge and experience of all electrical installations, including wiring, testing, issuing written electrical test/minor works reports etc.
To maintain on site log books, permits & site paperwork insuring they are completed and up to date.
Liaise with subcontractors and attend client meetings when required.
Must be competent in working on CAFM system and using tablet for logging on to jobs and completing compliance paperwork. A laptop is also available for this role.
The Electrical Engineer will be working on site as the main point of contact for our client and must be someone who is flexible and is client focussed.
There is no call out rota with this role.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Approved Electrical Apprenticeship – Minimum requirement.
18th Edition Accreditation – Essential.
2391 Testing & Inspection – Beneficial.
