With six regional offices across the UK, the organisation delivers high-quality construction, refrigeration, and HVAC solutions to clients in a variety of commercial environments.
The business specialises in the design, installation, and maintenance of energy-efficient systems, working in close partnership with clients to identify cost-effective and sustainable solutions. An opportunity is now available for a Refrigeration Maintenance Engineer to join the team, providing planned and reactive maintenance support across retail and commercial sites.
Job Purpose
To carry out refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance activities, both planned and reactive, ensuring all work meets client specifications, company standards, and relevant safety regulations.
Job Duties
- Perform routine and emergency refrigeration maintenance at multiple commercial sites.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across a variety of systems, including central plant, integral units, alarm panels, and leak detection systems.
- Ensure full compliance with company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Accurately update internal and client systems with job progress and service reports.
- Work independently and as part of a wider engineering team under the guidance of a Service Manager.
- Deliver maintenance work in line with planned schedules and response timeframes.
- Travel across sites as required - a valid UK driving licence is essential.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain professional conduct at all times when representing the business.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and internal colleagues.
- Contribute to the achievement of service KPIs and support ongoing contract delivery.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Accurately log work and time through company and client reporting platforms.
- Be flexible with travel and work hours as required to meet operational needs.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in refrigeration maintenance, ideally within commercial or retail environments.
- F-Gas 2079 Refrigerant Handling qualification (essential).
- Experience with central plant systems and RDM alarm systems.
- CO2 system experience beneficial, though training can be provided.
- Background in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC disciplines is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong fault-finding, communication, and customer service skills.
- A flexible and motivated approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
