Our client is a well-established electrical services organisation who have been trading for over 30 years and were recognised as a ‘Top 100 Employer' in 2024. Within the electrical industry in the UK, we service the following sub sectors - Water, Power, Energy and Aggregates, supported by our manufacturing hub located in Somerset which offers a 60,000ft head office complex. Their projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various electrical construction schemes, with Tier 1 clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

Our client is currently hiring Approved Electricians to work on a wide range of industrial projects across the SW and are looking for a new member of the team in the Bath area. JOB PURPOSE

  • Perform inspection and testing on customer electrical installations, including Emergency Lighting testing and necessary remedial repairs.
  • Complete and submit all relevant reports and certifications related to inspections and testing promptly.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in commercial and domestic systems, including fault finding and rewiring.
  • Assess required materials and hours for repairs, providing feedback to the office.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on electrical systems in commercial, industrial, agricultural, and domestic settings, ensuring installations meet manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship that upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and adheres to safety requirements.
  • Independently identify and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without explicit direction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer queries effectively.
  • Install electrical systems in accordance with BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Offer professional assessments and advice to customers.
  • Participate in the on-call rota to provide emergency electrical support as needed.
  • Perform any other electrical duties outside core working hours as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • ECS gold card (essential)
  • Experience as an Electrician or electrical improver
  • Able to manage own workload
  • Fitness to work medical (can be completed upon commencement of employment)
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Industrial and/or panel wiring experience.
