Established in 1982 and with 40 years of experience, our M&E building services client has built an unrivalled reputation for delivering a professional, reliable and friendly service to property owners and large commercial clients across Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. Due to a large residential & commercial contract success, they are now recruiting for a M & E Quantity Surveyor on a 12 month contract basis.
JOB PURPOSE
Their Quantity Surveying Team proactively manages the M&E design and installation works and sometimes even the costs incurred through maintenance and operation, once the building is up and running. They are a sector driven business actively operating and investing in Commercial, large residential and industrial clients and projects. Surveyors work in close contact with the client, advising them on financial and legal matters that arise during the project.
JOB OVERVIEW
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to take responsibility for providing all core Quantity Surveying services on a number of interesting projects, for a number of high profile M & E clients across a variety of sectors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline
- Strong technical delivery experience
- MRICS or membership of other relevant professional body preferred
- Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
- Strong Feasibility and cost planning experience
- Experience of providing procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract services
- Experience in Health or Retail sectors preferable
- Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery
- Able to build long-term relationships
- Previously employed by a consultancy or end user client
- Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts
- A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Ideally you will have been managing M + E work packages. You will have experience in working with subcontractors and collateral warranties. Be qualified to degree level with at least 7-10 years post grad commercial experience.
RATES
The contract is offering a day rate of £350 per day to £380 per day (DOE) for a 6 month contract.
