One of the UK's leading providers of electrical safety services, specifically inspection and testing of fixed installations. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an Electrical Test & Inspector in the Bromley area.
Technological Pioneers: Development of on-site & online technology to enable immediate client access & update of records, regardless of location.
Inspection & Testing Work: Carried out in pairs.
Blue Chip Client Base: Industrial, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Aerospace, Food & Drink, Sports & Leisure, Education. No High St retail or domestic.
PURPOSE OF AN ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join our client's team in the Bromley/South East London area. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in various commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to identify and report on potential hazards and compliance issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR:
- Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments.
- Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment.
- Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions.
- Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation work.
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
- NVQ Level 3.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent, depending on location).
Benefits:

- Pension: The current level of contribution by the company is 3% of salary, with the person contributing 5%. Enrolled on the pension scheme from day one.
- Healthcare: Following successful completion of the 6 month probationary period, the person will be invited to join the company health scheme.
