Operating from multiple regional centres across the UK, they deliver turnkey solutions across refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building services .
Their refrigeration division continues to expand rapidly, and they are now seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to cover convenience store contracts across the Greater Manchester area .
JOB PURPOSE Diagnose and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment faults across multiple convenience store sites.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service work as allocated by Service Control.
Fit and replace parts as directed by the Senior Managing Engineer or Operations Manager.
Complete all documentation and digital reporting accurately and on time.
Work safely and in full compliance with company and client health and safety standards.
ROLE SCOPE The position covers the full HVAC scope , including air conditioning and heat pump maintenance (typically a few units per store).
Around 10% of work involves M&E elements such as water heaters, taps, sinks, and minor electrical tasks.
Typical sites include supermarkets and convenience stores , requiring both refrigeration and general HVAC maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Minimum 3-5 years' experience in supermarket or commercial refrigeration .
City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Valid F-Gas (2079) certification.
CO2 system experience or certification desirable but not essential.
Strong fault-finding, communication, and customer service skills.
SALARY & BENEFITS Base
Salary: £44,500 per annum OTE: £50,000 - £55,000 (with typical overtime) £2,000 M&E uplift Approx. £60,000 total package with 10 hours' overtime and door-to-door pay
