Our client is a well-established provider of facilities maintenance services, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality support to a range of property types. Their client base includes managing agents for commercial office blocks, industrial units, retail sites, and student accommodation across the Northwest region.
They are now looking to recruit a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join their growing team, ideally with a solid background in facilities maintenance.
JOB PURPOSE
Carrying out general maintenance and servicing of commercial gas and HVAC plant equipment.
Diagnosing and repairing faults on gas systems and mechanical components.
Maintaining unvented hot water cylinders, expansion vessels, pumps, and related systems.
Supporting minor plumbing and mechanical tasks, including general DIY where required.
Maintaining accurate on-site logbooks, permits, and documentation.
Working across a mobile portfolio of sites in the Northwest, providing a flexible and client-focused service.
Participating in the on-call rota (approximately 1 in 8 weeks).
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years\’ experience in a Gas/Plumbing/HVAC or Facilities Maintenance role.
Experience with commercial gas boilers, water heaters, pipework systems, and related plant.
Knowledge of Health & Safety practices and experience updating compliance paperwork.
Unvented hot water cylinder experience preferred.
Experience working in a mobile role across commercial premises is ideal.

Salary circa £43,000
