Purpose of a Maintenance Electrician:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our client's growing team across Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will work within schools, care homes, and the social housing sector, carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), remedial works, and maintenance activities. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, delivering high-quality workmanship, and working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Electrician:
- Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) across a variety of commercial and residential environments.
- Carry out remedial, planned, and reactive maintenance works.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in compliance with current regulations.
- Work across schools, care homes, and social housing properties throughout Gloucestershire.
- Accurately complete reports and documentation using tablets and digital systems.
- Support and assist apprentices when required.
- Maintain strong health & safety standards at all times.
- Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Participate in ongoing training and development activities.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
- 18th Edition City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) AM2
- Proven experience in testing, inspection, and maintenance of electrical installations.
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Confident using tablets for reports and documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Valid UK driving licence.
