They are now seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their Edinburgh-based team, working across Public Sector and Commercial Office contracts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain commercial heating systems and boilers.
  • Install, diagnose, and repair heating systems and domestic hot and cold water systems.
  • Install heating plant, domestic water plant, and water heaters.
  • Carry out pipework installation for water, gas, air, and associated systems.
  • Operate press-fit tools.
  • Complete reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building standards.
  • Complete job reports and associated documentation accurately.
  • Prepare material lists and support apprentices when required.
  • Participate in the on-call rota to provide emergency support.
  • Undertake additional duties in line with business requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing.
  • Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, ICPN1.
  • ALPG qualification (desirable).
  • OFTEC 101, 105E & 600A (desirable).
  • Unvented Hot Water Storage certification.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Salary & Benefits
£40,000 - £43,000 basic salary.
Company van and fuel card.
Pension scheme.
Core working hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break).
On-call rota: 1 in 16 (approximately 2-4 weeks per year).
Overtime available.
