A well-established precision engineering company, specialising in high-spec metallic components for the aerospace industry, is seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating CNC turning machines (2/3 axis and multi-axis lathes - Fanuc or similar controls)
  • Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances from a range of materials
  • Editing offsets, tool changes, and basic program adjustments at the machine
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring components meet specification
  • Monitoring production output to meet quality and delivery targets
  • Carrying out in-process inspection using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
  • Identifying and reporting any quality or production issues (NRFT)
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and process optimisation
  • Attending daily SQDCP production meetings
  • Ensuring correct documentation, tooling, and materials are used at all times
  • Working collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules
  • Providing flexibility to support operations at a nearby site if required

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00

Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
