AIR CONDITIONING ENGINEER COMPANY OVERVIEW Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Air Conditioning Engineer to carry out mobile maintenance works across Bristol, Swindon, and Cardiff. Their client base includes, but is not limited to, commercial office blocks, industrial units, retail sites, and student accommodation. We are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge of Air Conditioning systems and over 5 years\’ experience in a similar Electrical / HVAC / Maintenance Engineering role. Their services encompass mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, water hygiene, and fire safety systems, ensuring optimal building performance throughout their lifecycle. 24/7 Nationwide Availability With strategic offices and service centres across the UK, our client offers round-the-clock support 365 days a year. This nationwide presence ensures rapid response times and consistent service delivery, regardless of location. Tailored Solutions for Diverse Sectors Our client specialises in providing customised facilities management solutions across commercial, industrial, retail, and public service sectors, addressing the unique challenges and requirements of each environment effectively. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF, split systems, and AHUs. Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Conduct system inspections, pressure testing, and leak detection in accordance with F-Gas regulations. Work on electrical systems related to HVAC units, including control panels, wiring, and fault finding. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring all work meets industry standards. Provide excellent customer service while liaising with clients, site managers, and contractors. Keep detailed service records and complete job reports promptly. Travel across Bristol, Swindon, and Cardiff to attend commercial, industrial, retail, and student accommodation sites. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE F-Gas & ODS Regulations (C&G 2079-11) – Minimum requirement. Approved Apprenticeship in Air Conditioning – Advantageous. Strong knowledge of M&E building services. Knowledge of HVAC plant: A/C, boilers, controls, heating & cooling systems, ventilation. Good overall understanding of Health & Safety. SALARY / BENEFITS Β£40,000 – 42,000 Overtime (OTE Β£50k) 33 days holiday Travel Time: 30 mins each way, then x1.5 overtime on all additional travel On-Call: 1 in 4 (approx.)
