Our client are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Air con engineer to carry out mobile maintenance works along the M4 corridor. Their client base includes but is not limited to commercial office blocks & industrial units, retail & student accommodation.
We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of electrical systems and over 5 years' experience in a similar Electrical / HVAC/ Maintenance Engineer type role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF, split systems, and AHUs.
- Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Conduct system inspections, pressure testing, and leak detection in accordance with F-Gas regulations.
- Work on electrical systems related to HVAC units, including control panels, wiring, and fault-finding.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
- Provide excellent customer service while liaising with clients, site managers, and contractors.
- Keep detailed service records and complete job reports promptly.
- Travel across the M4 corridor to attend commercial, industrial, retail, and student accommodation sites.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- F-Gas & ODS Regulations (C&G 2079-11) - Minimum requirement.
- 18th Edition Accreditation - Essential.
- 2391 Testing & Inspection - Beneficial.
- Approved Electrical Apprenticeship - Advantageous.
- Knowledge of M&E building services.
- Knowledge of HVAC plant i.e. A/C, boilers, controls, heating and cooling systems, ventilation.
- Understanding of overall Health & Safety.
SALARY/BENEFITS
- £40,000 - £43,000 (DOE)
- On Call 1 in 4 (roughly)
