Job Overview
We are a well‑established, family‑run firm based in Braintree looking for another van driver to join our small team. This part‑time, permanent role starts immediately and involves multi‑drop deliveries for office and business supplies across Essex.
Responsibilities
- Make 8–10 multi‑drop deliveries each day using our panel van to predominantly business customers.
- Lift light parcels and a few boxes weighing up to 12 kg.
- Assist warehouse staff with picking, packing and labelling deliveries.
- Help assemble and erect office furniture (desks and chairs) at customer sites.
- Serve as the friendly face of our business and enjoy meeting new people.
Working Hours
This role is a job‑share opportunity: two days a week (ideally Monday and Tuesday) and a third day every other week (alternate Wednesdays). Start at 9:30 a.m. and finish by 1 p.m., but timings can vary. Live locally in Braintree to minimise commute.
Qualifications
- Over 25 years of age (insurance policy limitation).
- Fit to lift and carry, clean current UK driving licence.
- Friendly attitude, initiative and ability to be the face of our business to customers.
- Good knowledge of the Essex area.
Pay and Benefits
The current hourly rate is £12.21, based on hours worked and payable at the end of each month. This is the national minimum wage rate. Short holidays are possible.
