Working closely with Partners, senior lawyers, and specialist trust professionals, you will gain exposure to a broad range of trust administration, tax, and estate matters, supporting high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees, and professional advisers. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with clients, trustees, accountants, financial advisers, and investment managers
  • Assisting with the preparation of trust accounts and trust tax returns
  • Supporting the administration of a varied portfolio of trusts and estates
  • Calculating trustee liabilities including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Income Tax
  • Preparing documentation for trustees' meetings and attending meetings to take minutes where required
  • Managing trust payments and distributions, including capital and discretionary income distributions
  • Assisting with the preparation and review of investment policy statements
  • Communicating with HMRC and supporting compliance requirements
  • Supporting supervisors and partners with ongoing client matters and billing processes

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience within trust administration, estate administration, or private client work
  • Exposure to trust taxation and trust tax return preparation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Experience using CCH or similar tax software would be beneficial, although training can be provided.
