The Opportunity
The Clinical Negligence department is looking to recruit two Paralegals following internal progression within the team due to trainee qualification and seat rotations. These roles offer hands-on exposure to complex clinical negligence matters and the chance to work closely with experienced solicitors on a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload.
The Role
You will support fee earners across the full lifecycle of clinical negligence claims, including:
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of clinical negligence files
- Legal research and drafting correspondence and documents
- Reviewing medical records and supporting case preparation
- Liaising with clients and third parties where required
- Maintaining accurate records and case management systems
- Supporting the wider team to ensure high standards of client service
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- A solid understanding of clinical negligence law and practice
- Previous experience in a clinical negligence paralegal role, or exposure to clinical negligence during legal studies
- A strong academic background (candidates should note any clinical negligence modules completed in their application)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent attention to detail and clear, well-presented written work
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive approach and the ability to work well under pressure
- A collaborative mindset and strong team ethic
Working Arrangements
These are full-time roles. Paralegals will be office-based during the initial probationary period to support training and integration into the team, with the option to work from home up to three days per week thereafter.
