Are you an experienced HR Assistant looking to take the next step in your career within professional services? We are recruiting for a highly regarded professional services organisation in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and collaborative People team and gain broad exposure across the entire employee lifecycle.
Working closely with senior HR leaders, you will support everything from onboarding, contracts and payroll preparation to benefits, learning and development, appraisals and salary reviews. It is an ideal role for someone who already has at least two years’ HR experience within professional services and is now ready to take greater ownership and continue developing their career.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing enquiries through the People inbox and escalating sensitive matters appropriately
- Preparing offer letters, employment contracts and changes to terms and conditions
- Coordinating onboarding, inductions and offboarding
- Maintaining accurate employee records across the HR system, learning platform and internal trackers
- Supporting monthly payroll preparation and employee benefits administration
- Assisting with leave calculations, employee recognition and long-service awards
- Coordinating training courses and learning and development activities
- Supporting annual appraisal, promotion and salary review processes
- Producing reports and handling confidential employee information
- Improving HR templates, trackers and administrative processes
- Providing a professional and supportive service to employees, managers and new starters
About You
To be considered, you will need:
- At least two years’ experience in an HR Assistant, People Assistant or similar role
- Previous HR experience gained within a professional services environment
- A good understanding of employee lifecycle processes
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Experience using HR systems, electronic filing systems and internal trackers
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy and fast-paced environment
- A proactive, organised and professional approach
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with employees and senior stakeholders
- Some knowledge of UK employment law would be beneficial
