This is a confidential opportunity to join a successful, international digital entertainment business operating within the online sports betting and gaming sector.
The organisation combines technology, data and digital products to deliver entertainment to customers across a range of regulated global markets. It is a fast-moving, commercially driven and highly matrixed business, with teams working across multiple countries, functions and brands.
We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who can operate confidently in this type of complex environment. This is not a traditional, policy-led HR role. The successful person will be commercially minded, business savvy and comfortable using their judgement to find pragmatic solutions.
You must be able to improvise, see the bigger picture and make sensible decisions based on the needs of the business. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organisation, you will help shape and deliver the people strategy while ensuring the day-to-day HR operation continues to run effectively.
- Partnering with senior leaders to understand their commercial priorities and translate these into practical people plans
- Reviewing the current talent and organisational structure to ensure the business has the right people and capabilities in the right areas
- Supporting workforce planning, succession planning and talent development
- Using people data, metrics and trends to identify risks, gaps and opportunities
- Producing meaningful workforce insights to support business decisions
- Advising leaders on performance, capability, engagement and employee relations matters
- Challenging stakeholders constructively and helping them make commercially sound people decisions
- Maintaining operational oversight and ensuring that essential HR activity continues to run smoothly
- Identifying where processes can be improved, simplified or adapted to better support the business
- Balancing immediate operational priorities with the organisation’s longer-term talent and workforce needs
You will be an experienced HR Business Partner who understands how a commercial organisation operates and can look beyond an individual HR issue to consider its wider business impact.
- Commercially minded and genuinely interested in how the business performs
- Confident interpreting workforce data and using it to influence decisions
- Experienced in talent management, workforce planning and organisational design
- Able to move between strategic conversations and hands-on operational HR matters
- Capable of maintaining momentum and keeping the “ship running” during periods of change
Experience within a fast-paced, technology-led, digital, gaming or similarly commercial international organisation would be particularly valuable.
This is an opportunity to work closely with senior decision-makers within a successful international business where HR is expected to contribute commercially rather than operate as a purely administrative or policy-focused function. You will have the scope to influence the talent structure, improve how workforce decisions are made and help shape the organisation’s future people strategy. It will suit someone who enjoys complexity, wants genuine business exposure and is confident taking ownership.
