Clinical Recruitment Officer / HR Officer
Up to £50,000 | Full-time | Oxted, Surrey | Hybrid 3:2
An exciting opportunity for an experienced dual HR & recruitment professional.
Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in end-to-end clinical or healthcare recruitment? Do you love finding great people, building talented teams and being involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle?
We're working with an ambitious and rapidly growing private healthcare business looking for a proactive, personable and commercially minded individual to join its expanding team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the best of both worlds: hands-on recruitment and generalist HR responsibilities.
Importantly, this is a recruitment-heavy position, particularly during the initial stages of the company's growth. We're therefore looking for someone who has already managed clinical recruitment independently, enjoys the pace of hiring and is equally comfortable supporting the wider HR function.
If you're looking for a varied role where you can take ownership, make a genuine impact and develop alongside a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
You’ll be joining a business at an exciting stage of expansion, working closely with senior leadership to help build high-performing teams and support the development of its People & Talent function.
With ambitious hiring plans across clinical, operational and corporate departments, recruitment will be a major priority.
You’ll take responsibility for managing multiple vacancies, proactively sourcing candidates, partnering with hiring managers and ensuring the business attracts and retains exceptional talent.
Alongside recruitment, you’ll be involved in day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, onboarding, people processes and wider HR initiatives.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical /Healthcare Recruitment & Talent Acquisition – A Major Focus of the Role
- Take ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial vacancy briefing through to offer and onboarding.
- Manage multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously across clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Proactively source and engage candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, direct approaches and other recruitment channels.
- Write compelling job adverts and develop effective sourcing strategies.
- Screen applications, conduct telephone and video interviews, and assess candidate suitability.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers, understanding their requirements and advising on recruitment strategies.
- Coordinate interviews, manage candidate feedback and support offer negotiations.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines to support ongoing and future hiring requirements.
- Monitor recruitment activity, maintain accurate records and identify opportunities to improve hiring processes.
- Deliver an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
You must be confident managing recruitment independently, including proactive candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing and coordinating multiple vacancies.
HR & People Operations
- Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees across the business.
- Manage onboarding, contracts, offer letters, employee documentation and pre-employment checks.
- Support employee relations matters, including absence management, performance, probation reviews and employee queries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support HR systems and processes.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure HR processes remain effective as the organisation expands.
- Contribute to continuous improvements across the wider People & Talent function.
About You
You’ll be organised, confident, approachable and comfortable juggling competing priorities.
- Proven experience in both end-to-end recruitment and generalist HR. Both are essential for this position.
- A strong track record of independently managing recruitment campaigns, from sourcing candidates through to successful hires.
- Hands‑on experience proactively sourcing candidates rather than solely managing applications or coordinating interviews.
- Experience managing multiple vacancies and working to recruitment deadlines.
- Practical HR generalist experience, including employee lifecycle administration and supporting day-to-day HR matters.
- A good understanding of UK employment practices and HR procedures.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working closely with senior managers.
- Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
