Join Our Team as a Finance Manager!
Are you a passionate finance professional looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to support our charity\’s financial operations. This temporary position is perfect for someone eager to make a difference while managing our financial activities.
Contract Details:

  • Type: Temporary
  • Duration: 4 months
  • Hourly Rate: £23.50 – £26.00
  • Working Pattern: Full-Time (31.5 hours/week over 5 days)
  • Location: Blackfriars, Central London (4 minutes walk from City Thameslink station)
  • Hybrid Working Environment: Flexibility to work from home or the office as needed!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations for the charity and its trading subsidiary.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounts.
  • Process payroll and administer the pension scheme.
  • Monitor compliance with HMRC regulations, including VAT and tax returns.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and share insights with budget holders.
  • Maintain cash flow forecasting for the upcoming year.
  • Prepare management accounts for the October board meetings.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Finance Officer.
  • Handover smoothly to the incoming Finance Manager in October.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • An accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in managing financial operations, planning, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial governance and accounting best practises.
  • Experience coordinating income and expenditure across multiple project budgets.
  • Proficiency in using and enhancing IT systems within a finance department.
  • A business partnering mindset and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
