Join Our Team as a Finance Manager!
Are you a passionate finance professional looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to support our charity\’s financial operations. This temporary position is perfect for someone eager to make a difference while managing our financial activities.
Contract Details:
- Type: Temporary
- Duration: 4 months
- Hourly Rate: £23.50 – £26.00
- Working Pattern: Full-Time (31.5 hours/week over 5 days)
- Location: Blackfriars, Central London (4 minutes walk from City Thameslink station)
- Hybrid Working Environment: Flexibility to work from home or the office as needed!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations for the charity and its trading subsidiary.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounts.
- Process payroll and administer the pension scheme.
- Monitor compliance with HMRC regulations, including VAT and tax returns.
- Produce monthly management accounts and share insights with budget holders.
- Maintain cash flow forecasting for the upcoming year.
- Prepare management accounts for the October board meetings.
- Provide support and guidance to the Finance Officer.
- Handover smoothly to the incoming Finance Manager in October.
What We\’re Looking For:
- An accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in managing financial operations, planning, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of financial governance and accounting best practises.
- Experience coordinating income and expenditure across multiple project budgets.
- Proficiency in using and enhancing IT systems within a finance department.
- A business partnering mindset and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
