Part Time Bookkeeper (8/10 hours per week) β Charity Organisation! Flexible Hours!!
Location: Remote Working with a monthly visit to East Leeds office (flexibility with working hours)
Salary: Β£18.00 β Β£20.00 per hour
Hours: Part Time β Office hours are 09:00 β 16:00, flexibility with hours
Reports to: CEO
What You\βll Be Doing
As a Bookkeeper, you\βll be the go-to person for all things money-related. You\βll work closely with the Charity\βs CEO and Operations Manager to make sure everything is accurate, up to date, and compliant. Here\βs a snapshot of what your day-to-day might look like:
- Process monthly staff salaries, liaising with the external payroll partner as necessary to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Manage and maintain financial software (QuickBooks), including regular data entry, invoice management, and reconciliations
- Petty cash
- Helping with budgets, reports, and forecasts
- Lead the preparation, submission, and sign-off of annual accounts
- Maintain access to and secure oversight of bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Joining meetings to share financial updates and ideas
Must-Haves
- A positive attitude and professional approach
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar software
- Excellent bookkeeping skills
- Confident using spreadsheets and basic IT tools
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working in a charity or non-profit
- Experience creating budgets and reports
- A finance qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
- Advanced Excel skills (SUMIFS, VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables)
