Are you a detail-oriented finance professional? Our client is seeking a Finance & Payroll Officer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial administration role while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks.
Position: Finance & Payroll Officer
Salary: £31,467.00 - £34,325.00 gross per annum
Contract: Permanent, all year round
Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
Reporting to: Finance Manager
Core Responsibilities
- Finance Duties: Accurately process all financial transactions from initial order to payment. Maintain precise records using Access Education, Excel, and other databases. Process orders efficiently, resolve queries, and ensure compliance with financial procedures. Manage purchase and sales ledgers, including supplier lists, invoicing, and payment allocations. Oversee bank and cash ledgers, handling receipts and online payments. Process staff expense claims and manage petty cash with precision. Collaborate with the Finance Manager to provide essential financial information to staff, governors, and auditors.
- Payroll Duties: Process staff timesheets and duty payments on the Trust payroll system. Address payroll queries in collaboration with HR and the Finance Manager. Administer annual salary statements and general payroll tasks.
- General Responsibilities: Uphold compliance with trust financial regulations and best practices. Supervise duties during breaks and lunches as needed. Assist with additional tasks to support the Operations team.
