Hours: Full‑time, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Friday 4:00 PM finish)
The Role
Joining a dynamic and supportive organisation in Guildford, you will play a key role in managing the day‑to‑day finance operations. This is a hands‑on role combining payroll processing, credit control, and accounting duties, ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, organisation, and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly timesheets accurately and on time
- Manage credit control activities, including invoicing, payment follow‑ups, and payment allocation
- Communicate effectively with contractors and clients via phone and email
- Post invoices, staff expenses, bank transactions, and related accounting entries
- Ensure PAYE processes are compliant and up to date
- Identify and resolve issues within payroll or finance processes proactively
- Support the continuous improvement of systems and workflows
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience in a Bookkeeping, Payroll, or Accounts role
- Strong credit control experience
- Experience using Sage 50 or a similar accounting system
- Payroll processing experience including timesheets
- Good working knowledge of PAYE
- Confident communicator with clients and contractors
