Our client, a well-established and growing business based in Goole, is currently seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Manager to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who can hit the ground running and provide essential support to the business's finance function during a busy period.
As the Accounts & Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring all payroll and accounting activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reports
- Supporting the wider business with financial information and analysis
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial and payroll regulations
- Assisting with financial reporting and reconciliation activities
- Supporting the business with ad hoc finance-related duties as required
About You
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts and Payroll position
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and financial procedures
- Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
- Confidence using finance and payroll systems
- Experience using Sage 200 would be a distinct advantage
