Financial Controller (PT Job Share)
Location: Central London (1 day in office per week max)
Hours: 9am – 5:30pm (Mon – Wed, this is a job share and there is no flex on these days)
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 per annum (pro rata)

About the Role:
As the Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of the financial strategy, ensuring the organisation thrives while delivering exceptional care. This hands-on position involves managing the day-to-day finance operations, leading a talented finance team, and collaborating with the wider leadership team to drive growth and efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the finance department
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, including monthly management accounts and balance sheets
  • Produce weekly and monthly financial management information and KPI reports
  • Monitor budgets to ensure cost efficiency without compromising care quality
  • Develop strategies for improving financial performance and identifying cost savings
  • Manage accounts payable, purchase orders, and payment runs
  • Ensure prompt invoicing and management of debtor days
  • Oversee payroll processes and expense management
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Provide accurate cash flow forecasts
  • Mentor and support the finance team to encourage growth and excellence
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate financial strategies and performance
  • Manage year-end processes and liaise with external auditors for seamless audits
  • Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within health or social care
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards
  • Relevant qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or related fields (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in financial software (Xero, Pleo) and MS Office
