Start Date: Immediate

Working Pattern: Part-time, 20 hours per week - Ideally suited to five mornings per week, although alternative working patterns will be considered. Flexibility is required to provide holiday cover when needed.

Our client, a highly reputable and growing organisation based just out with Edinburgh city centre, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail focused finance professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inputting Sales and Purchase Invoices via Sage 50 Accounts
  • Processing Bank Reconciliations
  • Completing VAT Returns
  • Handling Purchase and Supplier Payments
  • Credit Control duties
  • Processing monthly journals (e.g., wages, stock movements)
  • Maintaining accurate Payroll Records
  • Managing and updating Client Holiday Charts
  • Preparation of accounts to Trial Balance stage
  • Assisting with the Year-End Audit Pack
  • Carrying out other ad hoc finance tasks as required
Key Attributes
  • Xero experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
