Duties will include

  • Managing accounts payable and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Raising purchase orders and processing purchase and supplier invoices
  • Carrying out bank and supplier account reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving account discrepancies
  • Supporting month end and year end reporting processes
  • Preparing and processing payment runs
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors regarding payment queries
  • Maintaining organised and audit‑ready financial documentation
  • Verifying employee timesheets against clock‑in records
  • Supporting payroll administration and payment processing
  • Assisting with general finance and accounting duties as required
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, or Finance Assistant role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A proactive and positive approach to work
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
