Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Torquay
Salary: £27,000 to £29,000 DOE
Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 5:00pm

The Role: As an Accounts assistant you will work in a small team and be part of a vibrant open plan office where no two days are the same. You will be expected to provide effective support to the accounts department using a wide range of business software applications. You will have contact with a clients, in person and by telephone/email as well as other firms and related professional organisations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Answering client inquiries and managing emails professionally
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Maintaining Sales and Purchase Ledgers accurately
- Raising, sending, or discussing a client\’s invoice
- Overseeing credit control processes
- Preparation of management account report each month
- Manage, organise & update relevant data using database applications
Your skills and attributes:
- Proven experience in finance
- Proficiency in financial software XERO and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Analytical mindset with strong math skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A can-do attitude and self-motivation
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels
