Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Location: Wincanton

Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) hours could be flexible for the right person

Company: A local engineering firm who manufacture and resell their products. A small team who are all committed to quality and service ensuring their product meets the demanding needs of the customer.

Role: This is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity to join the company at a time of growth. You will act as the main point of contact for sales, administrative operations, facilities, and internal coordination.

Duties:

  • Customer Service and Sales Support: Act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring a professional, helpful and responsive service at all times. Manage and monitor customer enquiries, orders, quotations and order queries, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently. Proactively communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery dates, delays and any issues that may arise. Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, taking ownership and ensuring appropriate corrective action is taken. Assist with the development and improvement of customer service processes.
  • Facilities and Operational Support: Coordinate the day-to-day facilities requirements of the business, ensuring the workplace remains safe, organised, professional and fit for purpose. Liaise with external contractors and service providers regarding building maintenance, repairs and facilities services. Maintain records relating to facilities, maintenance schedules, contractors and service agreements.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate daily logistics activities, ensuring customer orders are dispatched accurately and on time. Work closely with warehouse, production, purchasing and sales teams to manage order priorities and customer delivery requirements. Liaise with courier and freight providers to ensure the efficient movement of goods and resolve any delivery issues.

Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate is a self-starter who improves processes, supports staff, and helps leadership maintain a productive work environment. Experience in one or more fields of customer service, administration, logistics and warehousing. Experience of dealing directly with customers and resolving issues effectively. Demonstrated ability to identify and improve processes.

Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organisational and time-management abilities. Strong administrative and IT skills. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
