Our client is looking to interview and start ASAP. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an organised and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our client's busy purchasing team and support the smooth procurement of goods, materials, and services.

The Role

As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the purchasing function by processing orders, liaising with suppliers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the timely delivery of products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain purchasing records, supplier information, and pricing databases.
  • Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers regarding deliveries and lead times.
  • Resolve invoice queries and order discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Assist with stock monitoring and inventory management activities.
  • Obtain supplier quotations and support purchasing decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare purchasing reports and management information as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing Team.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in an administrative, purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong numerical skills and a high level of data-entry accuracy.

Desirable

  • Experience using purchasing, ERP, or stock management systems.
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or distribution environment.
