Role: Finance Assistant – Hybrid working
Salary: Pro rata salary 17,783 (FTE salary 29,639)
Hours: 22.5 hours across 3 days per week (Mondays and Fridays necessary)
Location: Leeds, LS7 (street parking)
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Finance Manager in day-to-day financial matters.
- Handling supplier invoices, bank transfers, and reconciliations.
- Managing the sales ledger and checking recurring invoices for new tenants.
- Maintaining accurate accounting systems and financial records.
- Collaborating with staff to monitor tenant debtors and control income.
- Overseeing financial processing and bookkeeping.
- Managing the expend card system, expense claims and holding small petty cash pot.
- Managing and maintaining our client’s financial software systems.
Requirements:
- Experience within a similar role.
- Experience using Quickbooks/Xero or similar accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently and using initiative.
- IT literate, with advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using Excel.
- AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a charity or property/housing organisation desirable.
