Part-time Payroll Administrator

Location: Guildford

Contract Type: Part-time Permanent

Hours: 30 hours per month (with flexibility)

Annual Salary: £30,000 FTE (£5,613.30 pro-rata with potential for over-time)

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-time Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a leading legal practice in Surrey.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will support the Director of People in delivering a comprehensive payroll service in collaboration with the payroll provider, ADP. This position will involve a variety of tasks, ensuring accurate payroll administration and compliance with relevant policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the ADP payroll database, managing starters, leavers, salary increases, and changes in working patterns.
  • Calculate holiday entitlements, salaries, maternity dates, and sickness pay.
  • Oversee the firm's self-service absence management system and maintain absence records.
  • Conduct monthly payroll tasks, including pre-payroll activities, checking and uploading P45s, and liaising with ADP on payroll queries.
  • Process overtime, bonus, and staff loans accurately, investigating and correcting any discrepancies.
  • Prepare payroll data for annual reviews, manage pension administration, and assist with ad hoc duties as needed.
