Our client, a dedicated charity organisation based in central London, is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Administrator to join their Fundraising & Communications department on a temporary basis. This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals looking to contribute to meaningful work within the charity sector, supporting vital fundraising initiatives and enhancing communication with valued supporters.
Position Details:
- Contract Type: Temporary
- Contract Length: 4 months (up until January)
- Work Schedule: Part-time, 2 days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays set days in the office)
- Hourly Rate: £15.00 - £17.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and processing incoming post
- Producing and sending heartfelt thank you letters to supporters
- Coordinating Christmas communications with supporters
- Engaging with supporters through phone calls
- Processing opt-outs and updating records on Raiser's Edge
- Taking phone donations with care and professionalism
- Responding to email inquiries in a timely manner
- Scanning Gift Aid documents
- Organising files and managing records efficiently
- Assisting with various tasks as required to support the team
Who is Our Client Looking For?
- Previous administrative or clerical experience, preferably within a fundraising or communications context
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in using databases (experience with Raiser's Edge is a plus)
- A friendly and approachable demeanour when engaging with supporters
- A proactive attitude, ready to tackle various tasks as they arise
