Development Technician
Location: Hassocks / Burgess Hill Area Salary: 30,000 - 37,500 + Bonus Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Development Technician to join a growing and innovative business based in the Hassocks/Burgess Hill area. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded individual who enjoys problem-solving, product development, testing, and continuous improvement within a dynamic environment.
Working closely with engineering, production, and project teams, you will play a key role in supporting the development, testing, and implementation of new products and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and testing of new products and prototypes.
- Conduct technical trials, evaluations, and fault-finding activities.
- Support the transition of products from development through to production.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and test records.
- Analyse data and provide recommendations for product improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
About You
- Previous experience in a technical, engineering, development, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Hands‑on approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general technical systems.
- Relevant engineering, technical, or scientific qualification desirable but not essential.
