Part-Time Bookkeeper (3 Days/Week)
Location: Sunbury-on-Thames (On-site only)
Salary: Up to £15,000 to £18,000
Working Pattern: 3 days per week (preferably consecutive)
Our client is seeking a highly organised and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team in Sunbury-on-Thames. This is an on-site role, ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping for small businesses who is looking for a part-time opportunity with flexibility.
Key Responsibilities- Manage payroll using Sage 50 Accounts, including processing dividends for Directors
- Maintain purchase ledger and issue customer invoices using software similar to Sage (e.g., Sharp-Ax)
- Reconcile customer accounts and manage credits/refunds
- Chase outstanding payments and manage customer account holds
- Handle digital tax submissions and liaise with HMRC
- Reclaim import VAT
- Administer pensions via NEST
- Generate P60s and P45s
- Track and manage employee holidays
- Prepare and send financial data to our external accounting firm
- Maintain professional filing systems and documentation
- Proven experience in bookkeeping for small businesses
- Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Strong understanding of UK payroll, tax, and pension processes
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
- This role is on-site only; remote work is not available
- On-site parking is available
- Flexibility in choosing any three working days per week (preferably consecutive)
