The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Associate to take ownership of our premium womenswear concession within a luxury department store, Tunbridge Wells.
This is a highly autonomous role suited to a confident retail professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, driving sales performance, and managing all aspects of a standalone concession. You will be the sole representative of the brand on-site, responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while overseeing stock management, visual merchandising, administration, and commercial performance.
Working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus two Saturdays per month.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service and personalised styling advice.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and KPI objectives.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
- Develop and manage a customer database to drive repeat business and client engagement.
- Promote new collections, events, and seasonal launches to customers.
Commercial & Operational Management
- Take full ownership of the concession's day-to-day operation.
- Maintain and update the daily turnover tracker and other required reporting.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure the department is fully replenished and commercially optimised.
- Protect and safeguard stock through effective stock control procedures.
- Manage deliveries, transfers, stocktakes and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards
- Maintain exceptional presentation standards across the concession.
- Merchandise products in line with brand guidelines and commercial opportunities.
- Style mannequins and displays to showcase collections effectively.
- Ensure the department remains clean, organised and inviting at all times.
Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with Floor Managers and the Personal Shopping team.
- Support and participate in in-store events and customer activations.
- Act as a passionate and knowledgeable ambassador for the brand.
About You
- Previous experience selling womenswear within a retail environment, ideally for a premium or luxury brand.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a concession single-handedly.
- Strong stock management and organisational skills.
- Good level of IT literacy, including confidence using spreadsheets and retail systems.
- A keen eye for visual merchandising and styling.
- Well-presented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated and commercially minded.
- Reasonable level of physical fitness, as stock handling is required and the stockroom is located two floors from the sales floor.
