The Role
- Position: Full-time, permanent
- Location: Dover, UK - Will need to drive due to location
- Shifts: 4 on / 4 off (days & nights) - Rotating - 5:45am to 6:15pm then 5:45pm to 6:15am
- Hours: 40.25 per week (12.5-hour shifts)
- Pay: £12.71 per hour (days) | £14.15 per hour (nights)
As a Production Operative, you'll help manufacture high-quality products, operate production machinery, handle materials, and support smooth, efficient production processes.
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assemble, pack, and inspect products in line with quality standards.
- Carry out routine quality checks and report any defects or issues.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished goods.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Follow production schedules and work to daily output targets.
Pay & Progression
- After 3-month probation: £12.60 per hour (days) / £14.50 per hour (nights)
- Career Development Path: Progress to Multiskilled Operator after learning all six operational roles (£13.90 per hour, typically within6-12 months). xgikmsk
- Roles include: Stacking & Packing, Quality Control, Material Loading, and Machinery Operation.
- Further progression opportunities:
- Deputy Zone Leader: £14.40 per hour
- Zone Leader: £15.40 per hour
- Deputy Shift Leader: £16.15 per hour
- Shift Leader: £18.40 per hour
