JOB TITLE: Procurement Admin (Temporary, approx. 4 weeks)
LOCATION: Canterbury, Kent
SALARY: £13.50ph to £15ph
HOURS: 9am to 5pm, M-F

Their eye pleasing offices will be somewhere you would be happy driving into daily to join their Procurement team, ensuring the efficient processing and administration of purchasing activities.

The role will focus on managing purchase order administration, supplier communications, data maintenance, invoice processing, and general procurement support to ensure continuity of service during a period of absence which is roughly expected to be 4 weeks.

The day to day duties in your new job would be

  • Raise and process Purchase Orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor open Purchase Orders and update statuses within company systems.
  • Chase suppliers for order acknowledgements and delivery updates.
  • Support the invoice approval process and resolve routine purchase order queries.
  • Manage incoming purchasing requests and ensure they are directed to the appropriate person or actioned promptly.
  • Maintain procurement records, supplier information, and purchasing data.
  • Ensure purchasing systems and databases are kept accurate and up to date.
  • Support the preparation of routine procurement reports and spend data analysis.
  • Act as a first point of contact for supplier enquiries and obtain quotations from suppliers when requested.
  • Communicate order progress and delivery updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Escalate supply issues, delays, or non-conformance matters
  • Assist with filing, document management, and procurement administration tasks.
  • Support procurement projects and ongoing activities as required.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work accurately to deadlines.
