Our client is a premium hospitality business with a successful portfolio of venues across the UK. They are now seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of a prestigious conference and events venue in the City of London. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an ambitious and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of event operations while delivering exceptional, high-end, bespoke events.
The Role
As Event Manager, you will play a key role in the seamless delivery of a wide range of events, including conferences, corporate meetings, and private dining experiences. You will oversee events from planning through to on-the-day delivery and post-event evaluation, ensuring all client expectations are met and exceeded. Acting as a brand ambassador, you will build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. You will work closely with the General Manager and department heads to ensure first-class operational standards across the venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of events, ensuring great service & guest experiences
- Lead and manage all operational and logistical planning for events
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships throughout planning to delivery
- Lead, motivate, and develop the Events team, identifying training needs and implementing development plans
- Coordinate with suppliers & internal stakeholders to ensure every detail is delivered to a high standard
- Anticipate and resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively
About You
- Proven experience managing large-scale events for 300+ guests
- Strong operational background within conference venues, event caterers or similar high-end environments
- A confident and proactive leader with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, administrative, and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on, flexible, and passionate about delivering outstanding events
