I have a great Chef Manager position available at an education site in Rugby in Warwickshire. This is a lovely small unit which you have full autonomy over. This Chef Manager role is working 5/7 days with every 3rd weekend off. Core hours will be 7am to 3pm or 11.30am to 7.30pm. There may be some double shifts required on occasion as well so 7am to 7.30pm or a short split shift in the afternoon. Overtime is paid or taken as lieu time.
The Chef Manager caters for around 60 covers for breakfast, lunch, and supper. You will be assisted by a Sous Chef / Assistant Chef Manager and a team of 6 Kitchen Assistants. You will be expected to write menus and have full accountability for financials and ordering. There is also some hospitality with formal dinners, functions, and events, so some experience of high-end cooking will be required.
Typical days off will be Friday and Saturday one week and then Sunday and Monday the following week. The Chef Manager will ensure students are well fed and meals that fit in with all dietary requirements and nutritional benefits. All food is cooked from scratch, so you will need experience.
