Location: Edinburgh and surrounding areas

Role: Casual General Chefs

Pay: £16.81 per hour (including holiday pay) (£15.00 + £1.81 holiday pay, depending on experience)

Off to Work is currently looking for reliable and flexible General Chefs to support a variety of kitchens across Edinburgh. With a busy period ahead and consistent demand from our clients, this is a great opportunity for chefs seeking flexible work to fit around their schedule. We are particularly interested in chefs who are available 23 days between Monday and Friday.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard
  • Working across different sections of the kitchen as required
  • Supporting kitchen teams during busy service periods
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
  • Adapting quickly to different kitchens and team environments

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working as a General Chef or similar level
  • Contract catering experience preferred, but not essential
  • Ability to confidently work across all sections of the kitchen
  • Availability for 23 weekdays (Monday to Friday)
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable attitude
  • Food Safety Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 (Free accredited training available if required)
